Naturally, as dancers, a lot of our time is spent frolicking away in our beautiful Ray studios. However, with the turn of events that COVID-19 has delivered to 2020, there has been a great deal of change brought to our daily lives.

With social distancing and other COVID-19 regulations and guidelines in place, our time in the studio has unfortunately been interrupted for the time being, which can only mean one thing… dancing in the comfort, confined and obstacle-filled space of our living rooms. With the help of Zoom, we dancers have had no intention of letting the coronavirus get in the way of what we absolutely love to do: spending time laughing and chatting with our friends, and maybe also a bit of exercise with dancing thrown in too!

For the past few weeks, we have not only become more resilient and resourceful dancers, but relatively okay as furniture movers too! It might not be the same as dancing in the not-so-virtual presence of our friends, but we truly are grateful to still have the opportunity to be active, stay connected and continue in our passion during this period, as others may not be so fortunate to do so. It is safe to say that 2020 has been an interesting year so far, but I am so thankful to have had my dance family to keep me happy and having fun during these unprecedented times. We are a family like no other that I could not be more honoured to be part of. We hope to see you at our dance concert later this year, no matter the what the format… I am certain that it will be an incredible show!
